Ah the first WorldWide Weather discussion thread!
The crocodile infested Katherine River has burst its banks for the 2nd "100 year event" in 8 years. Click here for information of the 1998 flood event And this recent ABC.net.au article gives some details of the current (2006) flood situation. The crocs are becoming a problem: Quote:

wow, that sounds like some really bad flooding.
I would think they would catch the crocs soon. Is steve iren (spelling??) coming after them Damien? |

Steve Irwin is an actor/croc hunter from south-east Queensland (over 1500km from the floods)... in a population of 20 million there are a few more croc hunters - and about 20+ are in the affected area now.
The best thing to do is to wait for the water to subside as the Katherine River is the croc's habitat
