I am thinking as the snow pack develops further South and East it should move south and East as well. It did in 95-96. That being said it is hard to tell how far the storm track will move. The weight of the cold air and the topography should slide down the Eastern Seaboard late December and January.
Long rang forecast are like first wives, you never know how they will work out. Just ask the boys at the Hurricane Center.
