Default Looking for temperature gauge

Well, this *is* related to the weather, but in a different way than normal, so I thought maybe it belonged here. :) My father has an inexpensive temperature gauge that keeps a record of the high and low temperatures until being reset. What I'd like to buy him is a gauge that will, at midnight, automatically store the high and low for the preceding day, and then start recording the new high and low.

I don't want to pay $1,000 or anything like that--I'd just like something simple. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced temperature gauge out there that does this? Thanks for any info.

Neptune, thats a dangerous question...as it could attract alot of spam.

I personally would recommend Ambient Weather. They seem to be the top online source for weather instruments and software. I've purchased several items from them without any problems.

Their temperature instruments page is

You could even try your local Radio Shack. They have good stuff there as well.

$1000? Thats insane. Even NWS stuff doesnt cost that much I dont think. You could purchase an entire accurate weather station for half that price.

Good luck with your search.

Well, one of my New Year's resolutions was to live a little more dangerously.
