Just looking at the new models nothing has really changed. The First round of ice is occurring at the locations listed above.
Second wave on Tuesday further north. Hopefully last wave on Thursday further East, we hope. As Steve mentioned in another thread there is a blocking high that is off the SE US coast. this is s normal feature in the summer, we call it the Bermuda high. This does allow for heat to build in the south Atlantic. This does form tropical systems. The models are starting to track a tropical system that may move into the gulf of Mexico late next week. Good news- Monday thaw
Bad news- Next wave of Ice Monday night and Tuesday Warm air or at least temps in the mid 30’s in Ice storm areas. Cold air build back into Kansas, Iowa, N Missouri Monday night. Ice Storm N Kansas, N Missouri. Southern and central Iowa. Ice Accumulation to ½ Inch. Storm moves to Tennessee as Rain on Thursday. Ice storm ends as snow flurries East coast, enjoy Indian Summer, winter returns Friday. Dyndrite |

Morning up-date.
**The Storm that never ends** Ice Storm Totals 1-1 ½ inches Oklahoma, SE Kansas, Missouri. Conditions should improve this afternoon. Cold rain develops in these areas tonight and tomorrow. Ice Storm moves north on Tuesday. Extreme Northern Missouri and Kansas. Heavy Ice Nebraska, Iowa Indian summer SE with temps in the mid 70’s. Dyndrite |
