Precipitation should begin in Atlanta in the next hour. Storm in Midwest has taped southern moisture. Artic air is heading south in Nebraska, South Dakota. Winds gusting to 45 mph. Look for winds to increase on the front range to 60 to 70 mph as Artic surge moves south.

With this storm moving east and not NNE; and the low levels seem to be getting colder; does this mean more snow or more ice for the Boiling springs area in NW SC. I am about 30 miles from the NC line from Polk & Rutherford Co in NC. I love this crap to soooo keep preaching it brother!

Well thanks son. Nice to have a location. Let me get some data from the next hour. Looks like an Ice Storm in your area. how much snow will depend on the surge in Atlanta. Stand By.

This hour shows no precip in Atlanta but it will begin soon. You can expect sleet and rain and a few flakes changing to rain then freezing rain. You are in an area that could get significant Icing up to ½ inch

A song from Vern Godson

This aint my first rodeo.
This aint the first I seen this dog and pony show.
This aint the first time this ol’ cowboys been thrown.
This aint my first rodeo.

You can find that song on Google, I recommend it

Looks like Atlanta has 2 miles in light snow. Things are going to get bad in NE Ga and Up-state SC.

Looks like Atlanta has gone to sleet that means mid levels are colder than proged. Look for 1/2 inch of ice in NE Georgia and up state SC.

Dang as I have to regress, Advisories have gone up in Tennessee. Advisories have gone south. The bottom line is a gulf of Mexico low is moving east. It will move NE up the east coast.

I think I talked about this storm 7 days ago.

That’s what I told my wife. She don’t believe me

Update, Snow changing to sleet in Northern Mississippi and Alabama. At 19Z
