Up-date

As far as North Carolina is concerned most areas will start as snow, As Low pressure area tracks NE It will change to Freezing rain. Raleigh area should get 1 inch of snow then freezing rain.

Latest data suggest it may be more.

Don’t mean to put the cart before the horse.

As you guys know if you read the text I said there would be a third storm Saturday as artic front moves east. Latest guidance from the NAM suggest 2-4 inches in western and central NC 1-3 inches of snow in up-state SC followed by wind and cold. Temperatures Sunday falling into the teens. Lows in the single digits Monday morning,

Default Southern Storm

update- Boiling Springs SC

moderate to light snow 1inch on the ground with temp at 31.6 winds just now coming around to the Northeast at 5-6 mph; they have been calm until then; dyndrite any ideas on the winds coming around to the NE? What does this mean?

Max snow depth so far 5 inches near Hickory NC. Got 2.5 inches near Lexington, current conditions light freezing rain an occasional ice pellet and 31 degrees.
