Latest surface data has got things bogged down. Artic Air is heading south. Take a nap. This show starts tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a good nap. At 4:30 this morning low pressure is 150 miles SSW of New Orleans. Mid level energy is moving NE along the Texas coast. Precip fields are heading north. Snow and sleet in central Louisiana and Mississippi.

Artic front moving into Tennessee moving SE.

Impressive snow band setting up in central Louisiana and Mississippi. Impressive signature of storm on satellite and radar just off the coast of La.. Seems to be moving a little slower than forecast.

Well looks like the front finally jumped the mountains. We just got a wind increase out of the north. Dew points are dropping. Looks like the show is about to start.
