Upper level dynamics are moving SE more rapidly

Look out Northern Ill.

I would say the snow pack is moving SE.

What say you, Mets

I got the thunder in NW NC as well.

The NW flow behind this storm is just starting to wane. Snowfall totals of 1-2 feet in the mountains of NC.

Next storm moves SE into the plains today and more snow spreads into the great lakes.

Models are looking at potential Major Winter Storm in the Eastern US late weekend and early next week.

Yeah I have seen the models with the cut off low over the SE; don't know if we can get any winter precp in our area but we will see it has been a winter of extremes so far; also something also caught my eye around march 8th time frame on the latest models runs; take a peek and See what you think

Spanky,

I cant get past this storm as its path will dictate future weather. The GFS is the most volatile with the path of this Storm. The Canadian and Euro take it into the Carolinians. Reading various forecast discussions by the NWS mets give insight to the fact that the surface ingredients are in the Aleutian islands of Alaska and are in a low data area.

Next 48 hours will tell the tell. Models are in agreement that a big one is brewing.
